In July 2026, ZOOMLINE Machinery traveled thousands of li to Xinjiang. Against the backdrop of the azure waters of Sayram Lake , the snow-capped peaks of Xata, and the vast expanse of the Nalati Grasslands, the team embarked on a team-building journey to experience the scenic beauty of the Western Regions and strengthen team cohesion—rejuvenating body and mind amidst the majestic landscapes and rediscovering their original aspirations through the local culture and customs.
DAY 1 Arrival in Tacheng: Encountering the Unique Romance of G219
As the plane took off, we bid farewell to the hustle and bustle of the city. Upon landing in Tacheng, we drove along National Highway G219 toward Shuanghe.
A road sign marking the 520-kilometer mark stood quietly by the roadside; its romantic message—“I love you, and this love will last”—resonated with us as we journeyed together with one heart. As dusk deepens, we check in, rest up, and officially kick off our dream journey through Ili.
DAY 2 The Last Tear of the Atlantic: A Encounter with a Sea of Lavender
We set out early in the morning for Sayram Lake , where the crystal-clear waters are nestled between the Tianshan Mountains, and the wind sweeps across the surface, creating ripples of shimmering gold. The Guozigou Bridge spans the valley, and every snapshot captures wallpaper-worthy scenery.
The sea of lavender undulated in the breeze, with waves of purple sweeping across the fields. We strolled through the flower fields together, our laughter mingling with the summer evening breeze. We arrived in Yining at dusk, shook off our fatigue, and looked forward to the hidden wonders of the snow-capped mountains the next day.
DAY 3 Explore the Xata Ancient Trail and Witness the Spectacular Sight of Heavenly Horses Galloping Along the River
Today, we head to the Xata Ancient Trail, a hidden gem in Ili. The pristine canyon leads straight to the foot of the glacier, where the Muzart Snow Peak is shrouded in mist and clouds, and the stream churns up milky-white foam. Along the way, we may encounter marmots and wild rabbits, surrounded by unspoiled mountain scenery.
At the Zhaosu Wetlands, dozens of Ili Heavenly Horses gallop freely toward the river. As the herd rears up, their hooves shatter the emerald waves, sending a shower of water droplets into the air, while their clear, resonant whinnies echo throughout the valley. Standing side by side, we quietly admire this wild and majestic spectacle unique to the grasslands, as the wind sweeps through the reed beds and the distant mountains and galloping horses blend into a picturesque scene.
In the evening, we strolled along Six-Star Street in Yining—known as the “Morocco of the East”—where the elegantly arranged, exotic alleys exuded a unique charm. We savored local specialties, and amid laughter and joy, we grew closer to one another, strengthening our team’s bond.
DAY 4 Stroll through the Karajun Sky Meadows and visit the Bagua City of Tekes
We set foot on the “vast and boundless” Karajun Grasslands, where wildflowers carpeted the Flower Terrace, and from Falcon Terrace, we took in a panoramic view of snow-capped mountains, forests, and grasslands all in one frame. The endless green meadows undulate like ocean waves; gazing into the distance at the rolling Tianshan Mountains, the vast expanse of sky and earth brings a sense of inner clarity and openness.
In the evening, we checked into Tekes, the world’s largest Bagua City. The entire city is laid out according to the hexagrams of the I Ching, and its unique urban layout had everyone snapping photos to commemorate the moment.
DAY 5 Nalati Cloud Grassland: Discovering Paradise on Earth
We headed to the Nalati Cloud Grassland, hailed as “the place where the sun rises first.” Immersed in a green carpet among the clouds, surrounded by canyons and streams, the clouds seemed close enough to touch.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, everyone strolled freely, took photos, and checked in at scenic spots. On the vast grasslands, we cast aside our stress and laughed to our hearts’ content. As the cool evening breeze blew, we sat in a circle chatting. Having worked side by side during the day, we now admired the mountains and rivers together, and our team spirit quietly grew stronger amidst the natural scenery.
DAY 6 A minor hiccup on the journey—we calmly rerouted via the Yijing Expressway to Kuitun
We had originally hoped to visit the northern section of the Duku Highway, a popular scenic route, but due to the unpredictable mountain weather, that stretch was temporarily closed and impassable.
Upon receiving the notification, the team quickly and unanimously adjusted our route, proceeding smoothly along the Yijing Expressway the entire way. Unlike the winding and bumpy mountain roads, the expressway was smooth and unobstructed, offering expansive views along the way. We took in the gentle, vast foothills and plains of Northern Xinjiang, expanses of farmland, and the distant, rolling mountains stretching into the horizon.
During the long drive, no one felt frustrated by the itinerary change; instead, everyone spontaneously engaged in fun activities—sharing snacks, playing team games, and taking turns recounting amusing stories from their lives—filling the car with constant laughter and cheer. Faced with this unexpected situation, everyone followed the coordinated arrangements, showed mutual understanding and tolerance, and remained free of complaints or impatience, perfectly demonstrating the team’s spirit of unity and adaptability in the face of challenges.
After arriving safely in Kuitun and checking in, the entire group headed to a popular local “internet-famous” specialty restaurant that evening to kick off their exclusive team-building gala dinner. A lively dinner featuring song and dance brought everyone closer together, bringing the team-building atmosphere to a climax. After a delightful evening of celebration, everyone returned to the hotel to rest and reflect on the uniquely fulfilling journey of the day.
DAY 7 Exploring the Urho Devil’s City, Encountering the Vast Desert
Bidding farewell to the grasslands, we headed to the Devil’s City—a world of Yadan landforms in the desert. Riding the scenic train through the bizarre, wind-eroded castles, the atmosphere of the *Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon* filming location was in full swing. Against the backdrop of yellow sand and the setting sun, we captured one-of-a-kind martial arts-style photos.
The Gobi landscape stands in stark contrast to the grasslands and lakes we’d seen earlier. In a single day, we experienced two distinct facets of Xinjiang. We arrived in Karamay in the evening to rest and reflect on the myriad scenic wonders of our entire journey.
With Mountains and Rivers as Our Companions, United in Heart, We Strive for the Future
Some say the best team-building activity is setting off together for distant horizons.
On a daily basis, we collaborate and tackle challenges in the office, giving our all to achieve our common goals; on this journey, we crossed the Tianshan Mountains and admired lakes and seas together, looking out for one another and showing mutual understanding, discovering the vibrant and interesting sides of each other beyond work.
We witnessed the soothing blue of Lake Sayram, observed the passion of galloping heavenly horses, traversed the grandeur of the Duku Highway, and walked across the soft grasslands of Nalati. Xinjiang’s vast landscapes have broadened our horizons and brought us closer together.
As this Xinjiang journey comes to a close, we are grateful to have shared this scenic journey side by side. In the future, carrying the sense of relaxation and strength gained from this trip, we will unite our efforts and set off hand in hand on our next adventure. With even greater enthusiasm and a stronger team spirit, we will move forward together to achieve even greater success!
